the staff recommended three cheese omlette. and surely it was divine. they make good coffee too. it was a very relaxing experience which allows me to wind down and relax totally. the chef was really friendly and have a chat with us. many customers are actually very familiar with the staff. very happy to have found this amazing establishment.

I have been in Melbourne for a month now and had a coffee every morning at a different coffee shop but that will now stop. I have found my favourite coffee shop. Amazing service, best coffee and supporting locals. Everything I look for when I grab a coffee.

As a visitor to Melbourne I was so glad to come across this cafe. Amazing coffee and incredible service. Highly recommend the porridge and crumpets with home-made lemon curd.

Only knew this little local existed when a neighbour raved about their 3-cheese omelette, and we’ve been hooked since we tried it! The omelette is incredible, even the blue cheese in it is perfectly balanced by one of their own chutneys on the side. Bright and welcoming, great staff, and the fresh quality ingredients really shine through. The coffee is good, too… and they’re always excited to give the pup some home made dog treats (complimentary). Barkers Foodstore in South Melb is a humble hidden gem with great honest food and warm atmosphere. Honestly, try the omelette.

Had a great brunch, tried the chili scramble with prawns, truffle pasta and thai curry with noodles. All delicious, generous serving and showcase the barker’s flavour. We bought some sauces and chutney to take home too.

Dog friendly modern cafe. The coffee was ok - not too sweet and good cream. The chilli scrambled egg came as a surprise as I had ordered the three cheese omelette but I decided to go with it. It had nice crispy onion rings and juicy sour pickles. Overall not too spicy. The bread was hard to cut which I personally don’t like as it makes the whole thing hard to eat. The atmosphere is modern and there are a few outside tables in the shade. They really do welcome dogs with the walls full of furry guests pictures.

I love coming here to stock up on the best products from my childhood, and the food is always tasty and fresh too. Enoyed the new Supreme Poached Chicken Sandwich from the menu when I was in South Melbourne stocking up yesterday and it was so fresh and tasty, along with the most crispy onion rings I have ever had, will definately have this one again. Always friendly and welcoming staff and I love the Wall of Barkers with the photos of all the customers pups.
